The business Idea, Vision: Business owners and stake holders.
Firstly what do we mean by alignment?
Working with an example of a fictitious company called Company ABC. This company is a family owned business with a few senior management with stake holding in the company.

Working with an example of a fictitious company called Company ABC. This company is a family owned business with a few senior management with stake holding in the company.
This company currently operates in waste management, 5 star hospitality and education, heavy fuel consuming luxury vehicles. Their vision statement is ‘to be the leaders in our business whilst protecting the environment.
Here is where we have our first misalignment. Waste management and education is fine (assuming its running is compliant to the vision statement. But what stares you in the face is heavy fuel consuming luxury vehicles ARE NOT ‘protecting the environment infect are in absolute contradiction to this part of the statement.
At the point we need to consider the following

This step is normally addressed by the business owners and or custodians such as the senior management
This elite cadre includes or is represented by the executive leadership (I call it executive leadership since there seems to be a new buzz which renders the term ‘management’ as almost derogatory’ when compared to ‘leadership’). Hence in my dictionary I have coined the term ‘executive leadership’.
