We often hear and see vision statements; we know for a fact that the management is often engaged in strategy development, strategy deployment, strategy measurement. We loosely use terms like stake holders, values, corporate culture, leadership culture and customer focus.
Question to ponder; how often do we hear that the leadership or management is involved sin strategy and corporate culture alignment?!
The key words ‘simply understood’.
Vision: a collection of words strung together as a sentence that states where the organization sees itself in the future.
Strategy: what the organization plans to do over a certain duration of time to maximize profitability. This would be a combination of product / service development strategies,
- Stake holders: the meaning of the word stake holders varies vastly in it usage and understanding. I will attempt a few;
- Shareholders ( People who own shares in the co )
- Business owners
- Share holders / business owners + senior management
- Share holders / business owners + senior management + staff
- The above plus customers
- Any other permutations u see fit including vendors / suppliers
